Can’t Feel My Face
The Weeknd surprises the world with his new melodic single, Can’t Feel My Face. The track starts out semi-dark as evolving pads carry us into a pretty unexpected Jazz/Pop bass line and drums. A lot of people are comparing it to Michael Jackson, but it really reminds me of a 1980/1990 fusion of the experimental artists at that time.
It’s no secret that Abel isn’t afraid to step out of his comfort zone, and pretty much own whatever he attempts. We have seen a brief version of this sound with the Kavinsky track “Odd Look”, but this really different. Check out the audio below.
